    James O'Neill

    James O’Neill studied Commerce at NUI Galway, specialising in accounting, but his career quickly moved beyond the desk. Drawn to working with people and building real-world systems, he spent over a decade managing some of Galway’s best-known pubs, restaurants, and hotels. Those years shaped his ability to lead teams, understand customers, and operate complex businesses with care and integrity.

    During the Covid years, James took time to reassess his direction and immersed himself in research around health, wellness, and Irish seaweed. Discovering that Irish Sea Moss contains 92 minerals, making it one of the most mineral-rich and sustainable natural substances on the planet, became a turning point. Combined with the unique conditions of the Atlantic Ocean and Ireland’s long tradition of Carrageen Moss, a clear vision emerged.

    That vision helped form Sláinte Sea Moss: an Irish skincare brand built on clean, honest, minimal, high-quality ingredients that genuinely support the skin. As co-founder, James plays a central role in research, product development, and strategic direction, working closely with Jamie to grow a brand that celebrates Irish heritage while making a meaningful impact in the world of wellness.
